One Claw Information
A ONE CLAW web page has been in the works for some time. We have archived the printed One Claw by year. Also, a collection of all known pilots on any NEA seniority list was assembled by the hard work of John Riffle, with input from Norm Houle, Dave Roberts and Clark Willard. Thanks for all the time and effort. The idea for the quarterly newsletter came from the Boston Chief Pilots’ office under the command of Roger Green and Dave Bushy. They cornered Pete Kallander and George Chaudoin (then retired by the way) not in a forceful or threatening manner, but in a “you have volunteered” manner. The Boston Retired Quarterly Newsletter was born and first published in 1992 and still continues. Where did the name ONE CLAW come from? The Lobster was the name of the monthly newsletter put out by the Boston Chief Pilots’ office. Seemed only proper that a lobster of some sort should apply. What better than ONE CLAW, the crusty OLD Lobster? The very talented Don Champagne designed the drawing for the One Claw letterhead. We may be retired, but we like to keep informed. Keep the cards and letters coming, we need a communications network, and ONE CLAW has been the center for information for the retired NEA pilots. Let us know of any idea that can improve the Web pages. ENJOY!! |
